  3. Narrative • There is a construction project in process at your facility. Upon digging ruptured the operator ruptures the hospital water main, causing your facility’s basement to flood.

  4. Scenario Event 1 • The power to the building has been interrupted.

  5. Scenario Event 2 • Alarms are going off in the ICU.

  6. Scenario Event 3 • Generators are in a flood section of the basement and have been rendered unusable.

  7. Scenario Event 4 • Pharmacy services and the lab have been affected by the flooding.

  8. Scenario Event 5 • The media arrive at the facility and are demanding information

  9. Scenario Event 6 • Family members are calling stating their loved one isn’t answering their phone and demanding to know where they are.

  10. Break 10 minutes Please return promptly

  11. Scenario Event 7 • Several concerned family members are trying to enter through loading doc.

  12. Scenario Event 8 • Several supply areas were damaged by the water, rendering equipment unusable.

  13. Scenario Event 9 • The ruptured pipe has been repaired and should be a full capacity within an hour.
