The Effects on The Blood Circulatory Systems • Increased circulation which promotes healing and regeneration of cells all over the body • Heart rate is slowed and can benefit clients with blood pressure problems • Removes waste products • Improves interchange of tissue fluids
Effects on Adipose tissue • Aids absorption of tissue fluids • Beneficial to soft fat conditions such as cellulite
Effects of Massage on the Lymphatic System • Petrissage squeezes the lymph from the tissue • Effleurage moves it to the nearest lymph gland where it is filtered • Relieves swelling associated with stagnant lymphatic circulation • General toxin removal is improved • Stimulates production of antibodies, which enhance the immune system
