Conclusies • In de directe omgeving van Arcelor Mittal te Genk-Zuid worden tijdens de eerste 10 maanden van 2007 lagere concentraties zware metalen in PM10-stof, in het bijzonder nikkel en mangaan, tov 2006 gemeten. Op basis van de beschikbare datareeks voor 2007 stellen wij een dalende trend vast. De concentraties bevinden zich op het niveau van eind de jaren ‘90. • In 2006 wordt de toekomstige streefwaarde van nikkel, een jaargemiddelde van 20 ng/m³, op 3 van de 4 meetstations in de directe omgeving van Arcelor Mittal te Genk-Zuid overschreden. Op één station wordt tevens de streefwaarde van cadmium, een jaargemiddelde van 5 ng/m³, overschreden. 12
