  2. Summary • In Egypt boats were the most important form of transportation. Boats in Egypt were so important because everyone used them. Small boats were made of papyrus and large boats were made from wood, but all boats were very strong.

  3. Papyrus Boat • In 1970 a scientist tested a papyrus boat to see if it was seaworthy, and it survived the 57 day journey.

  4. Wooden Boat • This is a small scale version on a wooden Egyptian boat.
