  1. “Paul Revere’s Ride”“The Wreck of the Hesperus” One Pager Assignmet.

  2. Learning Target • Analyzing forms of poetry and how they fit into literary movements. • Analyze how meaning is conveyed in poetry through word choices, poetic devices (rhyme, rhythm, repetition, refrain) and figurative language.

  3. One-Pager Directions • Use Pages, Keynote, Notability or a similar app of your choice. • This will be shared with class. • Directions: Pick one of the poems. • Find an image that captures the meaning of one of the poems you have read by Longfellow to the Romanticism movement. Must not be a Google image. • Make connections (3 – 4 statements of three words or fewer that express your thoughts.) These should be elements and or ideas that connect the poem to the era. • Quotes. Include one important quote on your one-pager that best expresses the movement in the poem. • If you do not finish this, it becomes homework and is due on Monday.
