Completed Projects GPS Geodetic Survey Project (Measurements of the continental deformation of SW Turkey) a- GPS Measurements of SW Turkey August-September, 1989, DEU-Durham University (England)- Turkish Military Forces (General Command of Mapping) b- GPS Measurements of SW Turkey September 1992, 1993,1994,DEU-IFAG (Germany)

  3. In 1989, Geodetic network composed of 32 points has been established in order to investigate and determine continental deformation in SW Turkey. • The positions of points were measured using GPS by Durham University, Dokuz Eylül University and the General Command of Mapping.

  4. Seismological Project • Investigation of Seismotectonics of SW Turkey May 1989- June 1990, DEU-Durham University (England)

  5. Heat Flow Project • Investigation of Heat Flow Distribution in Western Turkey (1995-1996 DEU-ITU-IU and MTA)

  6. In this study, temperature logs were measured total in 51 wells drilled with the various purposes in western Turkey. The thermal conductivity coefficients of borehole samples belonging to the different lithologies were also measured and the heat flow data were calculated.

  7.
