Introduction In order to provide a timely and efficient appeals process The Maricopa County Assessor’s office is providing Property Appeal submission guidelines
Petition Intake • Must be on current Petition form • 5 or more petition forms submitted at one time must be accompanied by a cover letter listing the parcels. • It will be stamped “Received not verified” and given back to the agent or their representative • Once verified a copy of the sheet will be sent to the petitioner to confirm all appeals information has been received.
Appeal Petition Form • Petition filled out legibly • Petition signed by the agent representing the owner • Petition filled out in black or blue ink to improve scanning quality
Appeal Petition Form Must complete the following • Petition completed by area • Agent ID number • Basis • Multiple parcels appeal marked if multiple appeal
Appeal Petition Must contain the following • Signed Agent Authorization form • Multiple form if multiple appeal marked • Income and Expense Statement if Income is marked as basis
