  1. Washed by the BLOOD Why do we need to be Cleansed ?? Why is it a requirement that BLOOD needed to be shed ?? HOW did Jesus Shed His Blood ?? HOW does the BLOOD of Jesus Wash us ?? How do we receive this Great Work in our lives today?? Communion Prayer for Cleansing (Physical and Spiritual)

  2. Washed by the BLOOD • Why do we need to be Cleansed ?? • Isa 59:1-2 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear. • Isa 59:3-4 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity…. • Then David comes in Ps 51 – and Pleads for Forgiveness and to be Cleansed !!! • Ps 51:1-5 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy loving-kindness: according unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Thy sight: that Thou might be justified when Thou speak, and be clear when Thou judge. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. • Ps 51:14 Deliver me from blood guiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. • Ps 51:9-10 Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. • Ps 51:11-12 Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and uphold me with Thy free Spirit.

  3. Washed by the BLOOD • God wanted to heal and cleanse the human race from the very day that the first sin happened on the earth. • Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. • Gen 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. • A manifested act of Mercy on the part of God, indicating the pardon and acceptance of confessing, believing man, rejoicing in anticipation of that future victory over the serpent which was to be accomplished by the seed of the woman… (Barnes) • And Since that very first Promise through Prophecy – God kept on making promises through Prophecy over and over again – That He will send His son – and He will Restore God’s Righteousness on the earth – thus cleansing us of all Unrighteousness… • Heb11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. • Heb 11:4 (MSG) By an act of faith, Abel brought a better sacrifice to God than Cain. It was what he believed, not what he brought, that made the difference. That's what God noticed and approved as righteous. After all these centuries, that belief continues to catch our notice. • Heb12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel

  4. Washed by the BLOOD • Isa 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. (John 16:8-11) • Spirit of Judgment – will bring about Guilt in the hearts of Man – and thus should lead unto Repentance followed by Forgiveness • Spirit of Burning – Will bring about the Cleansing Fire of God – His LOVE and Mercy to Cleanse us of all Unrighteousness • 1Jo 1:7-10 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. • Rev 7:13-17 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

  5. Washed by the BLOOD • Why is it a requirement that BLOOD needed to be shed ?? • Heb 9:15-17 And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. • Heb9:18-20Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. (see Exo. 24:3-8) • Heb9:21-22 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. • Heb10:16-18This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. • Thus – it is a Requirement from God – that without BLOOD being SHED – no one could be purged / cleansed from their iniquity and sins…!!!! • Heb 9:23-24 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: • Heb9:25-26 Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

  6. Washed by the BLOOD • HOW did Jesus shed His Blood ?? • Col 2:13-15And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He (God) quickened together with Him (Jesus), having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. • 7 Places That Jesus Shed His Blood: • In the Garden of Gethsemane - He prayed Earnestly and in Agony – His sweat became blood drops (Luk 22:44) • His Beard was plucked out, they smote Him in the face and spit on Him (Isa 50:6, Mat 26:67) • Crown of Thorns on His head – which the Soldiers even smote Him on the Head with the reed (Mat 27:28-31, John 19:1-5) • He was chastised through whiplashes – 39 times (according to Roman Tradition) (Luk 23:16-22) • He was crucified – with Nails through His Hands (Luk 24:39-40) • And Nails through His Feet (Luk 24:39-40) • And at His death – they forced a Sword through His Right Side (Joh 19:34) • He was made a Shame and a Spectacle on the Cross, tempted in every way… (Luk 23) • Isaiah 53 tells us the whole story in a Prophecy… • Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

  7. Washed by the BLOOD Quite a few Direct Prophecies in Psalms pointing towards Jesus on the Cross…!!! • Ps 51:7-8 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Joh 19:28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished: and He bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. (John 19:31-27)

  8. Washed by the BLOOD • HOW does the BLOOD of Jesus Wash us ?? • Heb9:14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? • Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. • Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. • Because – it is SIN that takes/kills/destroys LIFE …!!! • AND THUS: LIFE is required to REPAY sin’s debts !!! • Col 1:19-21For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself ; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. • Col 1:21-22And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight: • Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; • Mankind was separated from God because of SIN and had no acceptable offering to satisfy the demands of God’s Holy Nature. • THUS: God had to send His SON to provide an acceptable sacrifice for sin, establishing a bond with those who received Him, thereby making Peace !! • The Innocent/Divine LIFE (Blood) of Jesus Christ shed on the cross, satisfied this demand, and provided the means for all creation to be reconciled to God. • NOW: COVENANT PEACE has been Restored between Man and GOD !!!

  9. Washed by the BLOOD • Rom 3:23-25 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (atonement)through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; • Rom 3:24-26 (MSG) God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity He put us in right standing with Himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where He always wanted us to be. And He did it by means of Jesus Christ. God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin. Having faith in Him sets us in the clear. God decided on this course of action in full view of the public--to set the world in the clear with Himself through the sacrifice of Jesus, finally taking care of the sins He had so patiently endured. This is not only clear, but it's now--this is current history! God sets things right. He also makes it possible for us to live in His rightness…!!! • Rev 12:11 And they overcame him (the evil one) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

  10. Washed by the BLOOD • How do we receive this Great Work in our lives today ?? • Through FAITH !!! • Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. • Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. • Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. • 1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. • Rom 10:4-5 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. • Rom 10:6-8 But the righteousness which is of faithspeaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

  11. Washed by the BLOOD • Rom 10:9-13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. • Rom 10:14-16 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaiassaith, Lord, who hath believed our report? (Isa 53:1) • Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. • THUS: Choose this day – to Believe the Scriptures and the Promises of God, and TRUST/RELY on HIM that is TRUE and Faithfull and Just, that whosoever call upon His Name, shall not be put to shame (or be disappointed) – but He will hear your call, and cleanse you from all Unrighteousness !!!

  12. Washed by the BLOOD - COMMUNION • 1Co 11:23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you-how the Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took a loaf of bread, • 1Co 11:24 gave thanks for it, and broke it in pieces, saying, "This is my body that is for you.Keep doing this in memory of me." • 1Co 11:25 He did the same with the cup after the supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. As often as you drink from it, keep doing this in memory of me." • Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. • 1Co 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink from this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. • Joh6:53-58 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eatethMy flesh, and drinkethMy blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eatethMy flesh, and drinkethMy blood, dwelleth in Me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent Me, and I live by the Father: so he that eatethMe, even he shall live by Me. • Joh 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of THIS BREAD shall live for ever. • Let these scriptures speak to you today – while you partake of the Bread and of the CUP – remembering what Christ did for YOU !!! ***** A M E N *****
