JCats Goal: Our goal is to deliver to the LHS Freshman team 20 boys that have developed fundamentally sound offensive and defensive skills, court awareness, sportsmanship and community affairs involvement.
Emphasis on Developing Good Shooters • Dedicated time each practice for shooting instruction. • Shooting club
Develop Sound Fundamentals: • Layups, left/right • Dribbling, left/right – head up, see the court. • Pivoting • Man-to-man defense, good shuffling techniques. • Rebounding • Develop one-on-one skills. • “Read and react” offensively and defensively.
To instill a competitive nature in the boys… Teach them they need to work hard in order to improve.
Inspire the boys to participate in our community affairs program.
For the boys to have fun and want to play basketball at LHS.
