BBS Project Monthly update 5th June 2014 • Solook Implementation Update • Challenges • Sample Process Index and Dashboard
SoLookImplementation Plan – 05/06/2014 Building Blocks: 6 of 7 Solook Foundational activities completed for all Pilot sites, except Harweel. Observations commenced at these locations, and tracked into the data-management tool - RINCON Stake-holdering of Contractor Management continues in the process. 4. INCONs (Internal Consultants) are in the final stages of Certification. They have demonstrated a range of different strengths and challenges.
SoLookImplementation Plan - Challenges • RINCON data shows that quantity and quality of observations are variable. • First-pass of leading indicators in the Process Index and Dashboard. • These have flagged early strengths and opportunities, which are being analyzed. • 3. The requirement of INCONs being dedicated is imperative for successful implementation and in order to ensure Consistent, Effective, and Sustainable Leadership Engagement. • 4. Current data suggests “Blocker Removal process” is consistently weak. This is being investigated and if true, will impact sustainability. E.g. At-Risk-Behaviours identified but zero movement on closure as per the process index and dashboard. • Leadership reaction to Process Index & Dashboard data at this early stage is critical • Current data shows lots of red indicators. • We need to be careful that leadership reactions do not inhibit continued open reporting.
SOLOOK Dashboard Variation • Data demonstrates the variability of • effectiveness of the Solook Process • This is welcome at this stage. This is • neither “good” nor “bad” news • Objective and supportive Leadership • response is critical for sustainable progress. Data used for this analysis are from 1st March to 22nd May 2014
