FatuFeu’u • Feu’u is interested in patterns from his culture • These patterns are based on natural forms • And masks • They are arranged in a grid • He works with lots of detail, usually done with line and strong shapes • The shapes stand out because of the colours used • He uses soft washes of paint with thin pen line over the top

Dagmar Dyck • Dyck uses some bits of patterns as well as objects from the Pasifika environment. • There are also areas of flat, bright colour • Her material is arranged into different sized rectangles that divide up the frame • Black line is used to make the rectangles and the drawings of patterns and objects. • It seems to go over the top of the colours. • Dagmar Dyck uses screenprinting or painting to make her images
