The way forward • Eskom engage in pre-engineering work within 2007/08 financial year to prepare projects for contracting for 2008/09. • Change Control process to be adhered to for any changes. • Eskom not allowed to overspend without DME pre- approval • Continue with regular monthly meetings between DME and Eskom to monitor compliance. • Accelerate the programme to electrify schools and clinics in 2007/8 in line with MTEF allocations • Focus on development of bulk infrastructure for the household programme and feeder lines for schools and clinics
