  3. PURPOSE Resource Management Update To discuss resource management issues associated with the below force protection programs QPSM Physical Security VJAL Corrections QLPR Law Enforcement VTER Antiterrorism

QPSM ISSUES Physical Security • ISSUES • MVACIS – Vehicle Screening Operators (Overhires) • CSG programmed costs consumes QPSM’s budget • DACG (085) and Physical Security Specialists (080) should be captured in QPSM not QLPR (TDA) • .L1 and .L2 setup for execution • 135075.30 – Mission APE for QPSM

  5. QLPR ISSUES Law Enforcement • ISSUES • 42% reduction in identified requirements across the FY08-13 POM • Civilian pay consumes ~94% of program funding • 1443+ DA Police overhires • DA Police authorizations paid by another MDEP (WEAD)????

  6. VTER ISSUES Antiterrorism • ISSUES • Funding constraints may prohibit program from meeting mandated DOD and Army policy/standards • Requirements continue to outpace funding in FY09-13 (efficiencies???) • ATO manpower increase unaffordable at this time • Significant drop in CbT RIF funds (FY07 = $71M; FY08 = $27M)
