  3. Your task: Imagine that you are in the same position of Clifford Sifton, Minister of the Interior for Prime Minister Laurier. It is your task to encourage people to settle in Canada to stimulate economic growth by means of agriculture. Then, create a poster to invite immigrants to settle in Western Canada.

  4. Your poster should include:

  5. Words, phrases or slogans encouraging immigrants to come to Canada

  6. Images of the Canadian West (example: of wheat, large fields, the Sun, the houses, beautiful scenes, etc)

  7. Information to get in contact with the Government of the Canada

  8. What the new immigrant will receive upon arrival in Canada (be historically accurate)

  9. A pull factor. (What factors will draw people to the Canadian West)

  10. Other things:

  11. You can create your poster on a sheet of paper 8 x 11 or 8 x 14

  12. Due Date: October 19th
