  2. Welcome Back!!

  3. Let’s Review • What are the 3 Rs?

  4. Reduce • To decrease the amount of something (e.g., water, waste, energy, etc.)

  5. Reuse • To use something again for the same or a different purpose

  6. Recycle • To send used objects to a place where they are made into something new

  7. Today, we will be focusing on reuse • Activity: • You will count off from 1 to 5 • Each number group will brainstorm ways to reuse different items (as many as your group can think of) • Each group will share their ideas aloud • Group 1: Plastic milk jug • Group 2: Newspaper • Group 3: Empty peanut butter jar • Group 4: Empty cereal box • Group 5: Empty soup can

  8. Club Project • We will be reusing bottle caps to create a mural at our school • This will be an ongoing project we will be working on • Let’s get to work today!!

  12. Now we need to decide… • What supplies do we need? • How will we collect our supplies? • Club-wide • School-wide? • Where will we put the mural? • On the side of the greenhouse?
