  3. 2013-14 Discipline Data • Referrals have been reduce by 18%. • OSS days have been reduce by 86%. • Detentions have been reduce by 31%. • Total suspension days (ISS/OSS) have been reduce by 12%.

  4. Concerns…….. Top 3 Infractions for 2013-14 • Tardiness to class (40% of referrals) • Disruptive Behavior (25% of referrals) • Skipping (20% of referrals)

Concerns continued……. • Tardiness to class (1st block and 3rd block) • 1st block tardiness (students checking into school late) • 3rd block tardiness (students returning late from lunch) • Disruptive Behavior (all blocks) • Majority of the disruptive behavior referrals are in 3rd block, students returning from lunch. • Skipping (3rdblock) • Students leaving campus for lunch (campus is open) • Students leaving campus in between classes

  6. Next Steps…… • Install video cameras on campus • Assign period ISS (Timeout) for minor infractions • Provide professional development to staff on classroom management
