Importing a PowerPoint into a Flipchart And what to do next!
Step One • In ActivInsipre, go to File Import PowerPoint as Images • PowerPoint as Objects will allow you to edit Text/Objects, but will change how things look. • PowerPoint as Images will not allow you to change text/objects, but makes it look exactly the same as the PowerPoint.
Step Two • You have a flipchart, but no way to hide the bullets from the students as you take notes! • Enter Magic Ink! • Magic Ink is a shape that allows you to see through anything that is in the top layer of a flipchart.
Using Magic Ink • Draw a shape (or place an image) over the text. • Right click on the shape, go to Reorder To Top Layer • To select Magic Ink, on your toolbar, click Tools Magic Ink • Adjust the size of your Magic Ink in the toolbar • Draw on the shape to reveal what is underneath! • HINT: Magic Ink is a shape, so after drawing it, you can move it around!
Using Magic Ink Vocabulary: Show the definition under a shape or image Translation: Usted revela la traducción Math Problems: 2 + 2 = 4 Pictures:
Saving Notes as PDF for Moodle • After finishing you notes (with everything revealed) , go to File Print • In the Print Dialog box, change your layout (I do 2 rows, 2 columns so there are 4 flipchart pages per PDF page) • Make sure Page Range is set to all • Click Export to PDF • Save the PDF file on your computer in a place you will remember so you can upload it to Moodle
