  3. DenganMengamatiGambartersebut, makakitaperoleh : LuasPermukaan limas E.ABCD • = LuasPersegipanjang ABCD + LuasΔ EAB + LuasΔ ECD + LuasΔ EAD + Δ EBC • Atau • = Luas alas + JumlahLuasSeluruhSisiTegak

Contoh : • Hitunglahluaspermukaan limas persegidenganpanjangsisi alas 10 cm dantinggi limas 12 cm sepertipadagambardisamping. • Jawab :Diketahui : a   = 10 • t    = 12 • c2   = (⅟2 a)2 + t2 • = 52 + 122  = 25 + 144 = 169 • c = √169 = 13 • Luaspermukaan limas persegi           = a (a + 2c) • = 10 (10 + 2 ×13) • = 10 (10 + 26) = 100 + 260 = 360 • Jadi, luaspermuakaan limas persegiadalah 360 cm2.
