PRIORITY PROJECTS 2014 – 2020 г.(1) • Railway Infrastructure • Project:Rehabilitation and modernization of the railway line Plovdiv - Burgas Phase 2, • incl. Plovdiv and Burgas railway junctions (for speed of 130 km), with a length of 100 km • Indicative budget: 320 million euro • Project: Modernization of Stara Zagora, Nova Zagora, Yambol and Karnobat railway stations • Project:Modernization of the railway line Elin Pelin - Ihtiman - Septemvri • (for speed of 160 km), withtotal length of 78 km • Indicative budget: 740 million euro • Railway projects are complemented with investments under CEF • (Sofia - Elin Pelin; part of the railway junction Sofia; Sofia – Dragoman; Vidin - Medkovets) • Intermodality for passengers and freight and sustainable urban transport • Project:Construction of Line 3 of the Sofia metro: Stage I (section 2) "Botevgradsko Road (Vladimir Vazovblvd.) - Center – “OvchaKupel “ (str. Implementation of preliminary conditions for the Transport Plan • Development of IntegratedTransportStrategy (ITS) • ITS is a basis for planning transport projects earmarked for funding from: ERDF and CF; The Connecting Europe; State budget; other international financing institutions, public-private partnerships, private finance initiatives, etc. • In developing the ITS will be used: • Road Strategy developed by the World Bank • Draft Strategy for development of railway transport in Bulgaria • Create an Unit to support the work of the Consultant - specialists in modeling and modal transport • NSI will assist MTITC in collecting the necessary information.
