Climate Agreement • Reduction of CO2 emissions : • G8 countries and China have to reduce their CO2 emissions by 15% before 2030 and by 50% before 2050. • NIC countries have to reduce their CO2 emissions by7% until 2030 and by 30% until 2050. • Others have to stabilize their emissions by 2030 and make a 20% reduction before 2050. • Quotas : • Trading within a worldwide and liberal quota-trading system based on a national level. • The value of these quotas will decrease each year after 2012 by a certain percentage according to the level of development. • Industrialized countries are not allowed to buy more than 10% of the amount of their own quotas from other countries. • Green energies : • Each country has to increase its percentage of green energies to produce at least 40% of its energy with green energies. • The World Climate Organisation : One country = One vote • Financial funds (0.5% of the GDP of each country) to build projects together : common research for new technologies, preventing floods, ensuring clean water, developing education
