  4. Temperate Deciduous Forests • Dense stands of deciduous trees—tree that drop their leaves each year • Only a few plants in a deciduous forest keep their leaves during winter. • The deciduous forests in North America lie along the eastern side this includes the State of Georgia.

  5. Temperate Deciduaous Forest • Deciduous forests are found in most of the Central European countries and in Eastern Asia. • Almost all of the world's deciduous forest is located by an ocean. • Have trees with broad leaves that turn color and fall off.
