MAINSTREAMING RBA INTO CSOs PROGRAMS • Provision of feedback to orientate organization staff on RBA • Rapid Assessment /Evaluation identifying gaps based on the RBA • Partners meeting to push RBA agenda • Participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation based on RBA • Hold regular partner organization meetings to monitor performance on RBA.
RELEVANCE OF RBA TO REALIZATION OF PROGRAMME GOALS • Promotes partnership with claim holders • Enhances ownership with claim holders • Addresses sustainability with the communities. • Enhances accountability among the duty bearers and to the claim holders • Cost of operation reduces as community contribution increases.

Challenges of HRBP • Resistance to change, especially to concept of human rights. • Fear of the duty bearers in meeting the demands created through empowering claim holders • Lack of capacity at all levels-Community, organizations, government etc • Time consuming • Financial constraints- especially at the conceptualization and design stage e.g. the causality analysis
Role of CSOs at DHSF Level • Mobilization and sensitization • Collaboration • Sharing experiences and best practices • Pooling of resources • Policy advocacy
Role of CSOs - AOPs • Ensure activities are reflected in the AOP • Ensure priority needs are addressed. • Provide technical assistance • Facilitate resources
Role of DHSF and AOP-HHR agenda • Capacity building for other health workers • Ensuring they empower relevant partners on RBA • AOP are HRBA responsive • Lobby and advocacy focused on RBA
Recommendations • Lobby donors to fund causality analysis • HENNET to follow up on capacity building to individual CSOs • CSOs to lobby government for the right to health to be enshrined in the new Constitution • CSOs to be actively involved in the planning processes at all levels • Government to allocate more resources to health. • Government to ensure policies are enacted and commenced. • HENNET ensure their members are RBA compliant. • HENNET to mobilize resources for the RBA related activities
