Muon activities recap • April 9th : • Installation of the EESA04 done • Chamber adjustment done on EELA07 and EELA09 • April 10th : • Readout service connection done on EESA16 and EESA02 • Chamber adjustment done on EELA15 and EELA01 • Damaged tube BIL5A01 2/1/1 (ELOG 234273) -> Install protection form? • April 11th: • EESA10 and EESA08 chamber installation done • Gas pipes connection on EELA07 and EELA09 done • MDT EO chambers LV and HV were re-enabled • April 12th: • EESA06 chamber installation done • Chamber installation of all EExAwas complete!! • Readout service connection done on EESA10 • April 15th • Sector EELA07 was included in gas system • Started the EE commissioning shift • Tested EO chambers after gas leak fixing (HV trips and missing readout tubes were found)

Other Muon activities • Routing the BEE alignment cables (done last week) • ACR Java version update to 1.7 (done last week) • Request the feedback from DAQ experts for checking the common muontools • Investigation of purging CSC cooling pipes(SWC) in SX1 (done last week) • The DSS alarm updated (done last week) • AL_INF_CoolingUSA15_RackFailure has been replaced with AL_INF_RackCoolingFailure_USA15 • RPC HV and LV cabling on sector 12 and 14 (still on going) • Replace the flowmeteron CSC loop11 side A (today) • CAEN mainframe test by Stephanie and CAEN technicians (whole this week)
Interventions and safety • Interventions • Thisweek April 15th to 19th , US15 cooling intervention. • CSC, RPC and barrel MDT have to be turned off. • Endcap MDT no effect. • P1 electrical installations and interventions on safety systems from April 30th to May 5th • P1 in shutdown mode • No cavern work allowed • CERN wide power limitation on June and July 2013 • (update) ATLAS may able to run normally • Already requested for Muon DCS work • Please let me know as soon as possible if you need the power consumption during June and July • Safety issues pointed by SLIMOS • If you leave the nacelle basket to work standing/sitting/crouching somewhere on the ATLAS detector, attach your harness to the ATLAS detector. Never attach the harness to the nacelle basket after you have left the nacelle basket.
