What is Skills For Work? • Training for those in the workplace • All courses are free to people who are in full-time employment, part-time employment or are self-employed • The program is very flexible - classes would be set-up to suit company and participants • All courses are FETAC accredited; Level 3
Courses Available • All courses available are at FETAC Level 3: These include: • Computers • Communications • Customer Care • Numeracy • Office Skills • Child Development & Play • Caring For Children • Telephone Techniques

Computers Course Outline: • Introduction to Word • Information Technology • Internet & E-Mail • Searching Online • Online Form Filling 35 hours: 3 hours a week, 12 weeks.
Communications Course Outline: • Learn to Learn • Non-Verbal Communication • Personal Interaction • Reading & Writing • Media Awareness & Visual Communication • Introduction to Information Technology 35 hours: 12 weeks ( 3 hrs per week )
Customer Care Course Outline: • Good Customer Practice • Responding to Complaints • Understanding Consumer Protection Laws • Handling Customer Behaviours • Teamwork • Understanding Attitudes & Perception 35 hours: 12 weeks ( 3 hrs per week )
Numeracy Course Outline • Natural & Decimal Numbers • Ratios, Fractions and Percentages • Using a Calculator • Personal Finance • Measurements • Geometry, Algebra & Statistics 35 hours: 12 weeks ( 3 hrs per week )
