  17. Appendix: Lyceum Zuoz The Lyceum AlpinumZuoz is a co-educational international boarding school set in spectacular alpine landscape at 1,750 metres above sea level near the resort of St. Moritz, Switzerland. About three hundred students from around the world follow programmes leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the Swiss Matura and German Abitur. Tolerance, fairness and respect for community values are at the heart of a Lyceum education. The Lyceum campus occupies an extensive site with its own sports fields overlooking the alpine village of Zuoz. It is located in an environment notable for its health-promoting qualities: high altitude, low pollen, dry, sunny climate. In 2004 the school celebrated its 100th jubilee. Our school philosophy is founded on respect for tradition combined with innovation. It finds expression in the Spirit of Zuoz, inspired by the sporting ethos of the Lyceum Alpinum, which attaches supreme importance to tolerance, respect, fair play, commitment and life-long learning. We expect our students to learn and live by the values of the Spirit of Zuoz in the classroom, in the boarding house and on the sports field. In our three academic curricula – the International Baccalaureate taught in English, the Swiss Matura and the German Abitur, both taught in German – commitment and mutual respect are closely linked with work in the school community. Respectability and orderliness in everyday life, respect and helpfulness towards others coupled with an open-minded attitude: these are the guiding principles of an education at the Lyceum AlpinumZuoz, and they equip ambitious and enthusiastic young people with the qualities they need for life. School Fees: Boarding School costs per year CHF 70’700 - 78'400 External students: Swiss Matura / German Abitur (German): CHF460 IB, International Baccalaureate (English9: CHF27'500.
