Juniors 9/23/14 (Breaking Down Walls Day 1) ** Collect Franklin WS and lined paper TOMORROW (finish for HW if needed) • Warm-up: finish “All I Ever Needed to Know…” and “Poor Richards Almanac Aphorisms” and complete the worksheet • Copy definition of aphorism (page 73) onto your “Lit. Device” paper (the paper with archetypes and figurative language on it) • Copy definition of persuasion (page 79) onto “Lit. Device” paper • On the back of the worksheet for “Speech…” please respond to the following QW prompt: What did all of these persuasive speeches have in common? What do you do when you want to persuade someone to do something for or with you? HW: Finish Franklin WS DUE: TOMORROW! HW: IRA #1 DUE: 10/2 HW: OR and write down examples of your literary device
