  18. CAPACITY BUILDING • 14 doctoral students from Finland have won places on IIASA’s Young Scientists Summer Program since 2008.

CAPACITY BUILDING Southern-African Young Scientist Summer Program: (SA-YSSP) • ErkkaRinne (SA-YSSP ’13/14 & VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland) developed a model to explore cost-effective ways to store energy for later use in a large-scale energy system that has variable energy generation.
