IFLA Mid-Term CongressCase Studies in Government Libraries Milestones: Act 1551/2004 of 25 June 2004, enables the Ministry of Defence of Spain to organise and coordinate its own libraries The update of all regulations about libraries in the Ministry of Defence Promote and facilitate the knowledge and dissemination of the bibliographic and documentary heritage of the Ministry of Defence for everyone who needs it Establishment of the Library Coordination Unit (LCU) in September 2005

  3. IFLA Mid-Term CongressCase Studies in Government Libraries Definition: The Spanish Defence Library Network (SDLN) is constituted by all libraries and documentation centres of the Ministry of Defence and its autonomous departments. (Art. 4 the Law of Libraries of the Ministry of Defence)
