Activity – Using the BASI Tool • Download the Sample BASI Report on the Moodle Site • Download the Excel BASI Tool on the Moodle Site • Use the “Using the Excel BASI Tool Tutorial” to move the BASI data into the Excel tool.
Activity – Analyzing and Designing Instruction Based on BASI Data • Using the Sample BASI Data on the Moodle Site, consider the following questions: • What are the areas of celebration for the student? • What are the areas of highest need for the student in Reading, Written Language, and Math? • Given the areas of need, how would you assess this in your classroom? • Given the areas of need, what activities could you create/utilize to address the areas of need?
