How necessary is it? • Non- verbal communication is a process that helps us to express feelings and beliefs without words. • Non-verbal communication is the most basic form of communication. • From the beginning of our lives we express feelings, likes or dislikes with non-verbal communication. • Therefore non-verbal communication, helps people to communicate more correctly and take more meanings than words give.
How necessary is it? • Non-verbal communication is not structured. That means that for our culture something can have a different meaning than in some other culture. • For example: smiling in our culture shows that we feel good whereas in Japansmiling means that you feel uncomfortable. • So in my opinion its very necessary to know how to use non-verbal communication because it helps us to pass messages and if we express them wrongly then the meaning for the other person will not be correct and there may be misunderstandings with undesirable consequences.
How easy is it to interpret it? • Non-verbal communication is indispensable in our lives, although some times it’s difficult for us to decode the meanings. • In conclusion I believe that one should be very careful while trying to send a non-verbal message.
