Final Thoughts • Every school district should have a comprehensive and well-written selection and reconsideration policy. • A well-written policy within a district allows school professionals to easily explain the selection of materials to others. • It provides guidelines for school personnel to refer to when handling complaints • A well-written policy statement is not an easy task but a very important one.
