Andrew M. Allen Andrew was born on August 4th, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Archbishop Wood Catholic High school in 1973. He then graduated from Villanova University. He received his master degree in Business Administration.
Andrew M. Allen • The awards and decorations he received was Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Distinguished flying Cross, Defense Meritorious Service medal, Single air mission medal, NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal, NASA Exceptional Service Medal, and NASA Space Flight Medal. • His experience before NASA was being a marine, he graduated form flight school. He was an aircraft Maintenance Officer.
Andrew M. Allen • He was selected by NASA in June 1987. he became an astronaut in August 1988. He had logged over 900 hours of space during his career. He was a pilot in STS-46 (1992), STS-62 (1994), and mission commander in STS-75 (1996).
Legacy • I want the legacy of space to continue by exploring more of not just this galaxy were in but other galaxies. I believe there is more to discover out there in space and I know I'm not the only person in America who is curious about what is out there. The legacy of the first man on the moon will never be forgotten. Humans should explore outside of the planet Pluto.
