How to use the Alignment- Interest and influence Matrix? • What do you need? • A flipchart • Markers of different colours • A diverse group with knowledge on the topic to address • Prepare by drawing the matrix on the flipchart paper. Only the axis. Do not include the recommendations inside each quadrant.

In a group, answer 6 questions: • Who are the actors you work with directly and who participate in the process? • List them on a piece of paper or on an empty flipchart 2.How do all these stakeholders currently map to the Alignment-Interest Matrix? • Map the actors on the matrix • Consider trends by drawing arrows to illustrate the direction in which they are headed 3. Which are the most influential actors? • Draw a circle around the most influential actors
