Drawing Portfoliohttp://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/public/courses/teachers_corner/7881.html • Section I – Quality - Mastery of Concept, Composition, and Execution • 5 Pieces – Matted, Fixed, Lift Paper • May be from other sections. • No Larger than 18”x24” • Smaller than 8”x10” mounted of matted • No: fragile, rolled, folded, books, journals, school/name, & no more than 5

Drawing - continued • Section II – Concentration - Commitment to the thoughtful investigation of a specific visual idea • 12 images – Some may be details • Show: growth, plan, investigation, coherence, individual interest, discovery, visual language • Not: class projects, different, group work, from other’s work, about medium, about time • Examples: See Poster and Discuss • May NOT submit same work for Breadth. • Commentary: Central Idea 500 char./Intent 1,350 char.

Drawing - continued • Section III – Breadth – Range of Drawing Concerns: Observations, Imagination, Principles and Elements • 12 images • Spatial Systems: linear perspective, illusion of 3-D, organization of space • Subjects: human, still-life, landscape • Content: observation, expressionistic, imaginary, social, political • Tools/Materials and Processes: gestural, painterly, stylized • Expressive Mark-Making • NOT from Concentration

  7. 3-D Design Portfolio • Section I – Quality • 10 images – 5 WORKS – 2 Views Each • Best represent your accomplishments • May come form Concentration/Breadth • Section II – Concentration • 12 images – May be second views. • NOT same as Breadth • Excellent Photography • Section III – Breadth • 16 images – 8 WORKS – 2 Views Each • NOT from Concentration • Line, mass, volume, motion, form, space, light, shadow, surface • Assemblage, • If single medium – show variation

  10. Concentration/Breadth Digital Submission • Images are Photographed Well, Cropped, and Oriented Properly • No Digital Enhancements (Drawing Portfolio) • Proper Size Constraints/Resolution • Think about Order • Commentary is well written, grammar and spell checked • Uploaded by Due Date

Scoring the Portfolio • The Set-up • Quality - Table in Convention Center – 3 Scorers with band-aider behind & volunteer staff to set-up and break down • Concentration/Breadth – Computer Stations – 2 Scorers with 1-5 sec. average look at each image • The Process • PowerPoint Motivators • Rubric Reviews • Scoring 1-6 (1-5 End Score) • The Result • Scores are submitted, averaged, weighted based on Scorer Survey Monkey and 1-5 Bell Curve applied – ETS Statisticians
