Outside Funding: Challenge Bond Program • Outside revenue provides approximately 21% of program funding • 2 main sources: ICC (Illinois Commerce Commission) and CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality)
MAP-21: Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act • Signed into law by President Obama 7/6/12 • Extended previous law (SAFETEA-LU) through September 30, 2012 • Went into full effect October 1, 2012 • Authorizes programs for two years, through September 30, 2014
