Overview of Organizations Involved in Commuter Choice Efforts Regional Commuter Assistance Program: South Florida Commuter Services for D4 & D6 • Miami Dade, Broward, Palm Beach Counties Transportation Management Associations (TMA’s) • Downtown Fort Lauderdale, • South Florida Educational Center -Davie campus • Transportation Management Initiatives • City of West Palm Beach • Local Partnerships • Ongoing relationships with our regional transit agencies and regional vanpool program
District 4 Commuter ChoiceKey Accomplishments • Extended the vanpools program from Miami-Dade to Palm Beach County • Created Spanish & Creole collateral materials for targeted market • Increased in rideshare sign ups at T-Day events • Increased the rideshare database by 62% from Year 2 to Year 3
Highlights of Products and Services Offered • March 2004- roll out of New Rideshare Software-Ridepro provided instantaneous online matching. Major media efforts were done. • Results • We reached over 14 million households • SFCS sponsorship boards appeared 240X during the traffic reports for March • A total of 354 :30 television spots aired • Ch. 10 Vacation giveaway to Mexico: • 150,000 website ads appeared for the month of March

Hybrid Co-Op CampaignOverall Sign-Ups This graph reflects the number of overall registrations and number of ride match requests as of 10/31/04. 6,984 registrations have been received thus far and 5,069 have requested a ride match.
District 4 Commuter Choice Other Efforts Local Partnership Campaign • SFCS held cooperative efforts with Regional Transit Agencies-Broward County Transit, Tri-Rail, Miami Dade Transit and Palm Tran
Transportation Management Associations Key Accomplishments • Downtown Fort Lauderdale TMA acquired $2 million in CMAQ funds for Clean Air Cooperative efforts to convert current shuttles. South Florida Education Center TMA- Received CMAQ funding for an internal campus shuttle and local community shuttle route. • Resulted in major increased in ridership within 18 months of operation.

District 4 Commuter ChoiceChallenges & Opportunities • Opportunities: • Expanding of CAP to Northern counties • Implementing of TDM measures for -Transit Oriented Developments, Developments Regional Impact, Congestion Management Systems • Challenges- • Obtaining TDM funding for the Northern counties • Identifying ongoing funding for existing Shuttles services after CMAQ funding runs out

D 4 Commuter Choice Efforts for the New Year • I-95 HOV Improvements Roll out July 2005 • Major public awareness campaign • From 2 to 4 hours bi-directional during peak hour commute in Broward & Palm Beach counties (24 hours in Miami-Dade county) • Truck lane restriction • Re-introduction of ILEV program • ITS along I-95 corridor
