  1. ENTRY ACTIVITY • Teacher shows two or three panchantantra tales Aesop’ s fables to learners and asks questions. Are you familiar with books of this type? What stories do these books tell us? • Students respond • Actively in the discussion

  2. LINK TALK Teacher asks some questions related to topic. What is a fable? Have you read any stories from Panchatantra tales? What characters do you find in these stories ? • Students respond actively.

  3. MICRO PROCESSING OF THE INPUT • Teacher reads the passage with correct pronunciation stress rhythm etc.. After that teacher asks the learners to read the passage silently.Teacher asks the learners to do track reading. • Students respond actively.

  4. After track reading teacher helps the learner to find out the meaning of the difficult words and if the learner need more clarification then the teacher gives them situations or teaching aids to get the right meaning. • Students respond actively.

  5. WORD STUDY Chink :Small hole in a wall. Retinue:A group of supporters travelled with an eminent person. Herd: A large number of animals. • Students respond actively.

  6. GLOBAL COMPREHENSION QUESTIONS Teacher asks questions to test students comprehension. Who was the old settlers in the village? Where did they occupy? DETAILED STUDY Teacher asks the students selectedat random some questions. • Students respond actively.

  7. What happened to the mice when elephant marched through the mice community? • What was the remedy the mice think of? • Did the elephant king accept the request of mice? • Students respond actively.

  8. GROUP ACTIVITY Teacher divides the pupils into groups containing five to eight members and asks the pupils to write answer for the following question. What are the major events in the fable? • Pupils respond actively in the group discussion.

  9. ASSIGNMENT There are certain words that makes “ing” forms by doubling the last letter. Eg:Occur-Occuring Write ten similar words.
