  3. A little about me… I come from Scotland and have been teaching for the last 23 years. I have taught in Scotland, England , Colombia and Egypt. I have been at MBIS for 12 Years and have lived in Egypt for the last 16 years. I am married to Mr. McInroy and have 3 children – Shaw, Archie and Rachel.

  10. How to help your child with home learning • Establish a routine with your child: a set time and place for home learning to be done • Check what tasks have been set and that your child understands what needs to be done • Encourage independence: facilitate not dominate!

  11. Expectations In Year 2, the children will be encouraged to: • Further develop their ability to work independently • Develop their reading skills • Develop more complicated writing techniques. • Develop numeracy by increasing number fact knowledge.
