Lessons Learned • Sometimes ‘squat’ happens – while all was breaking loose around DFW, it remained an oasis from the storms. • Gusts fronts coming through at the time of min-convection (10am-noon) may just create a shield of clouds that continue to suppress convection. • Guidance had the right idea (LAMP) that showers would be very limited.
