Piteå Black Liquor Gasification Development Plant (DP1) • Capacity 20 ton black liquor/day • Pressurised gasification @ 30 bar, 1000°C • Part of technical development program led by Chemrec AB • Black liquor from the Kappa Kraftliner mill • Complete gasifier, chemical recovery unit and control system
Piteå Black Liquor Gasification Develoment Plant (DP1) • Custom built extension of lab • 3 MWth (app.) gasifier • 20 ton black liquor/day
Objectives with development plant • Demonstration of process reliability • Optimisation of gasifier components • Optimisation of construction materials • Determination of process characteristics • Optimisation of green liquor and syngas composition • Provide data for design optimisation of a commercial plant
