APA STUDENTS • EXEMPT FROM TAKING NJBCT • All students who are EXEMPT FROM TAKING the NJBCT MUSTtake the Alternate Proficiency Assessment (APA) in Biology as designated in each student’s IEP. • For enrollment purposes, a NJBCT Answer FolderMUST be submitted for allAPA students receiving Biology instruction during the 2012-13 school year. • If an APA student responds to NJBCT items, the answer folder will be scored and an NJBCT score will be reported.
Who Must Take NJBCT 2013? ALL NJ public high school students, regardless of grade level, (grades 9-R12 and AH) who are enrolled in a biology course or content equivalent, any time during the current school year, must take the NJBCT, regardless of prior testing exposure and experience.
