Traffic Light System Behaviour at School Everyone starts each day on green. Remember: Raffle for staying on green.
Traffic Light System Behaviour at School If someone is not behaving as they should then they will be given a verbal reminder.
Traffic Light System Behaviour at School If the behaviour continues, the child will be moved to amber. If a child is on amber then they will miss their next playtime although they will be given the opportunity to earn their way back to green.
Traffic Light System Behaviour at School If anyone is moved to amber twice in a week then an amber slip will be sent home.
Traffic Light System Behaviour at School Example of behaviours that lead to Amber: • Ignoring instructions • Answering back to an adult • Leaving a classroom without permission • Arguing with adults • Blaming someone else for something done by self • Scribbling on someone’s work
Traffic Light System Behaviour at School If a child’s name is moved onto red then the child will miss a playtime and complete a ‘think sheet’. This will taken to Mrs Slater and then will be sent home.
Traffic Light System Behaviour at School If a child is moved onto red 3 times in a term then a meeting with parents will be called.
