Background of the Research • More than 310,000 visually disabled in Japan • Half of them have acquired visual disabilities • They study to get a national license as a therapist • Most serious problem in Riryo training • Only few methods to R/W patients’ medical records • Sighted people to help the students read or they have to read braille
Background of the Research • Middle age and elderly visually disabled • Difficult to master braille • Hard to get skills for operating information equipments

Purpose of the Research • Assuming Riryo training at Rehab • Building a common database • To store all patients’ data • Development of an electronic medical chart • For acquired visually disabled people • With pen-input device and web page
