  3. Temple of Karnak • Temples were believed to be the homes of the gods. • A place to worship, offer, ask for favors

  4. Sphinxes • Imaginary creatures with the bodies of lions and heads of humans or other animals.

  5. Obelisk • A tall four sided pillar that is pointed at the top.

  6. Egyptian Art • The Ancient Egyptians were masterful artists. • Egyptians painted colorful scenes on the walls of various tombs and temples.
