QA, the statutory framework • NAMSO Charter (approved by NAC) • The Board of Directors shall be solely responsible for general policy decisions as well as the issue of directives to enable NAMSO to carry out its mission. • NAMSO FD 254 « NAMSA Quality Assurance » • NAMSA must discharge its responsibilities for the assurance of the quality of materiel and services provisioned on behalf of its customers; • The Programme Manager is responsible for QA within his Programme; • The Procurement Division Chief is responsible for: • the application of contractual QA requirements as determined by the Programme Office; • the placing of requests for GQA and their co-ordination. NAMSO FD 254 « NAMSA Quality Assurance » • The contractual responsibilities shall be implemented through the NAMSA Quality Assurance Regulation NR-254-01. • This Regulation shall designate the responsibilities for implementing the requirements of STANAG 4107. Pierre Graas
NR 254-01 NAMSA QA Regulation • NAMSA customers are responsible for: • specifying in their orders to NAMSA any requirement for a QA standard, or delegating to NAMSA the application of the QA selection criteria and providing the necessary technical data to do so; • informing NAMSA of any requirement for GQA services for their orders. If GQA services are required, then an AQAP must be specified, and the risks which warrant the requirement for GQA services must also be described. • When customers specify quality requirements in their orders, then NAMSA is to ensure that customer requirements for quality are fulfilled. • NAMSA is responsible forforwarding a RGQA to the relevant NQAA.
