3. Question 1: Where you scared when the stampeders were shooting at you? Answer: I was actually very scared. I was also very nervous that me or my friends would get shot

4. Question 2: How did you feel when Walt left you behind after being shot? Answer: I felt abandon but i knew he would do the right thing and come back for me.

5. Question 3: Where you mad Walt kept calling you a bad lead dog? Answer: Yes because i was trying my hardest and i’m not a lead dog.

6. Answer: Yes i was it hurt a lot i thought i was going to die. Question 4: Where you in much pain when you were shot?

7. Question 5: How did you feel when someone you did`nt know stole you ? Answer: i felt that he shouldn’t do that but it was for a good reason .

9. The Dawson Daily News Today we are going to interview the stampeders.

10. When and why did you become a stampeder? It was around a year ago when some stole my own claim. After that I bought another claim and found gold so I bought some dogs and gathered some friends and we decided to become stampeders

11. When walt stole your dogs what were you thinking? I was thinking how the man we left behind didn’t notice someone harnessing are dogs onto a sled. I also thought why in the world would someone be stealing our dogs

12. Why do you think Walt stole your dogs? I don’t know, we didn’t see Loren Hall there and maybe he was on his way to file his claim and walt stole them to go warn him about us.

13. Why would you decide to shoot at Walt? Well we really weren’t going to shoot walt it just looked that way. We were actually trying to scare him. That didn’t work so we decided that we would shoot the lead dog and try to catch up to him.

14. Did you expect Walt to throw your dog? Absolutely not I mean it’s hard enough to stay on a sled even when you’re holding on he had to of had a lot of practice if he was able to hold on.

17. Before Walt told you what happened how when feel about going to Dawson on foot but you knew the Stampeders were probably going to jump it with dogs? Well, I... knew I would endure a lot going there, so I just had to beat them to Dawson to file my Claim just before they got there

18. When your feet froze in the water did you want to quit and go back to where you came or keep going? Well, I want to keep going but all i could think about was my nice warm cabin food, but I wanted gold, too. So I kept going and hoped for the best.

19. Why didn’t you prepay your claim? Well, I didn’t want to waste my money on a claim that didn’t have gold. So i went diggin’ to find gold and i found some.

20. How did you feel when you struck gold? I felt happy but I also knew I had to travel 90 miles to the town of dawson to record my claim fast so stampeders don’t try to jump it first.

21. How did you feel when you found out the stampeders were jumping your claim? Well, I felt mixed emotions I felt scared but I had to get to dawson to claim my claim, first so I could strike it rich.

23. Interviewing Walt’s dad 1.What were you thinking when you heard that Walt went all the way to Dawson to help save Loren Hall’s Claim? “Well, it was really hard to hear that he did that without telling me that he was going to go all the way to Dawson with four grown men shooting at him.”

24. Interviewing Walt’s dad 2. Was it hard when you first heard that your son was getting shot at by four grown men? “Well,Yes it was hard to hear that Walt was getting shot at, but he was brave and went for something, to help someone else.I’m proud of him for doing what’s right”.

25. Interviewing Walt’s dad A picture of Dawson 3. How did you feel when you first brought Walt with you on the trip to Alaska? Well, it was hard to bring him along, because I had to take him away from his friends,and it was more like a risk to bring him, because it is really cold,and dangerous in Alaska.

26. Interviewing Walt’s dad 4. Do you think Walt did the right thing by trying to help Lauren Hall’s claim? Yes I think it was the right thing to do, but the thing is he could of got killed by doing the things he did, or could of got seriously injured!

27. Interviewing Walt’s dad 5.Whatdo you think Walt felt when he heard he was going to Alaska with you, and leaving his friends? Walt was probably sad that he had to leave his friends, but he might be sorta happy, because he got to experience Alaska with hi old man.
