It is spread over 411 acres. • Accredited by NAAC “A" Grade • Identified as University of Potential for Excellence by UGC. • It houses 55 Departments • The Department of Management Sciences was established in 1971. • The Department is spread over 45000 sq. ft. premises, with the latest technologies and amenities. • Library with over 18,000 books, 61 National Journals & 21 International Journals. • Auditorium with 180 seating capacity and Mini Conference Hall • Fully equipped Computer Room

COURSES • MBA++ (6 Functional + 5 Sectoral Specializations) • MBA (Biotechnology) • Executive MBA. • MBA (Regular), EMBA at Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. • Ph D Program. • Diploma in Industrial Administration and Services Management, for disabled soldiers in association with QMTI, as a social responsibility initiative.

  7. Industry-Academia Interface Experience • Alumni Summits- With a background of 40 years PUMBA has a very strong and highly placed alumni base. Such meets foster rich industry interaction to students by bringing our own alumnus back to campus. • Entrepreneurship Development- A dedicated Cell for students. Knowledge partners like National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) also provide students a good industry exposure. • B-Plan Competitions- Department has 15 student B-Plans. Competitions are organized time to time to nurture these business ideas.

Industry-Academia Interface Experience • Student Exchange Programmes: International students from Japan, Korea, China, Iran, France, Spain, Nepal, Bangladesh, Malaysia take admission in the MBA course. This helps students to better understand the cross cultural issues which is vital requirement for companies which have global exposure. • Around 60 Visiting Faculty Members from Industry provide students excellent opportunity to interact with the Industry.

ICICI – Manipal Academy • Structure: 1 year – 3 Trimester Training program with Banking and Finance domain at Manipal University by ICICI • Students are treated as Probationers during training. • Focus is on domain subjects and skill development. • Strategy: Excellent Recruitment, Prospecting, Retention strategy • After training, students join the bank as Assistant Manager • The training credits are considered for MBA distance education by Manipal University

ARAI • Utilization of state-of-the-art technology, laboratories and highly skilled personnel. • ARAI recognizes the need to develop new generation of engineers to meet the automotive industry demand in India and also globally. • B.Tech and M.Tech students from Universities like VIT (Vellore), VEL TECH (Chennai), College of Engineering (Pune), Alabama (USA), Loughborough (UK), Braunschweig (Germany) are given training in automotive engineering by ARAI.

  13. Bharat Forge Limited • 2004 – BFL Collaboration with BITS, Pilani • B.S. Mfg. Science Programme – 3 Years Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering • Aim: Building up engineering talent pipeline for the employees. • Eligibility: Bachelor in Science or Diploma in Engineering with minimum 3 years work experience. • Structure: First two years classroom session and third year project work at Bharat Forge.

The Infosys Training Centre • Renowned IT company, Infosys Technologies has built the world's biggest corporate training facility for IT professionals in Mysore. • The €48.17 million (INR 3180 million) training centre is housed in a 270 acres campus at Mysore, the city known for its academic and research institutions and heritage buildings and palaces constructed by the Mysore Maharajas . • Training Centre adds 12,000 employees every year. • 2,000 rooms which can house 4,000 people on a twin sharing basis.

  15. The Intel Teach Program • In India, Intel Teach Program was launched in February 2000 in the cities of Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. Within a span of nine years, the program has impacted over one million teachers all over India in both In-service and Pre-service segments. • The Intel Teach Program is a professional development program that helps classroom teachers effectively integrate technology to enhance student learning. • Teachers learn from other teachers how, when and where to incorporate technology into their lesson plans, with a focus on developing students' higher-order thinking skills. • As a result of the Intel Teach Program, 89 percent of teachers reported using technology with their students. Moreover, they also experience new approaches to create assessment tools.
