    1. NAWIC's objectives are: To unite for the mutual benefit of the women who are actively engaged in the various phases of the construction industry. To promote cooperation, fellowship, and a better understanding among members of the Association. National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC)

    3. NAWIC K-12 PROGRAMS BLOCK-KIDS - ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BUILDING DESIGN - MIDDLE SCHOOL The Garden Shed Project - Easy The Garage Project -Average The Commercial Project - Challenge JOBSITE Video CAD DRAFTING - HIGH SCHOOL

NAWIC K-12 PROGRAMS BLOCK-KIDS 100 Interlocking Building Blocks Plus 3 additional items: Small Rock- 2” in diameter String – up to 12” long Foil – not larger than 18” x 18” Poster Board –not larger than 18” x 18” Participants given 2’ x 2’ working area Minimum 40 minutes –maximum 60 minutes to complete Build Project of their choice if some way relates to construction industry

NAWIC K-12 PROGRAMS CAD DRAFTING COMPETITION PROBLEM Phase I – House 3,000 sf Garage 600 sf Lake House with “tree house” feel with view of lake from living area; year round use; energy efficient, but with lots of glass; environmentally friendly; laundry room/mud room; small now, add-on in future Family of four – Mom, Dad, Boy 8 yrs. Old, Girl 6 years old Now- 3 bedrooms, bathroom for kids to share as well as general use; private bath for parent’s bedroom; open area for living to include kitchen, dining and entertaining areas- flat screen TV; front deck with view of sunset and ample storage Garage with lots of storage

    7. NAWIC K-12 PROGRAMS Phase II Master Suite; bathroom w/hot tub with view of the lake, dressing rooms, closet Each child’s bedroom with separate bath Guest cottage with kitchen, washer and dryer Storage Building for power boat, Jet Skis, (registered trademark), and kayaks
