Assessment Data Review Tips • Packets include your assigned report to review and the Aggregate of the corresponding program • Each Assessment Report is organized (generally) by: • Practicum Key Assessments • Candidate Dispositions • Lesson Plan Scoring Rubrics • Observation Reports • Practicum Evaluation Report • Work Sample/Action Research • Teacher Candidate Exit Survey • Teacher Candidate Exit Survey-Site and Supervisor Perspective …and separated by a colored piece of paper
2011-2012 data Analysis As you examine the summary sheets, keep in mind that our benchmark is at least 90% of candidates scoring a 2 or 3. In some summary sheets, you will notice that no candidates fell below the benchmark. In those cases, we still reflect on the lowest means. However, if indicators do fall below the 90% benchmark, it becomes an area of much concern.
2011-2012 data Analysis • As you look at the lowest means of each summary sheet, what commonalities among indicators do you find? • Why do we think these challenges exist? • What could we do to turn them into strengths? • The last summary sheet is the section in the exit survey where candidates provide site and supervisor perceptions. In what ways do we need to improve our supervision? How might we go about doing that? • If time allows, identify some strengths and comment on why you believe they are strengths.
