  2. Commands A command is a sentence that tells someone to do something.

  3. A command starts with a capital letter just like all sentences start with a capital letter. A command ends with a period. A command has a naming part and an action part. Sometimes the naming part is not written, but you understand that you are to do the action!

  4. Pick up all the pieces. Capital Letter Period This sentence is a command. It tells you to pick up the pieces.

  5. Please find the glue. Capital Letter Period This sentence is a command. It tells you to find the glue.

  6. Put the pieces on the table. Capital Letter Period This is a command. It tells you to put the pieces on the table.

  7. Pour a glass of milk. Capital Letter Period This is a command that tells you to pick up a glass of milk.

  8. You spilled some milk. Capital Letter Period This is NOT a command. This sentence is a telling sentence. It tells you that someone spilled some milk.

  9. Please wipe up the milk. Capital Letter Period This is a command. It tells you to wipe up the milk.

  10. Can you find the command? Dust the shelf. Will you dust the shelf? Joe dusts the shelf.

  11. Can you find the command? Did you say please and thank you? Jan said please and thank you. Say please and thank you.

  12. Can you find the command? Lucy can stand on her head. Stand on your head. Can you stand on your head?
